NOW Larimar Catholic Wedding???

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!  I am in the early stages of planning and I've found this site super helpful. I finally decided to join.

Has anyone had a Catholic service at NOW Larimar?  It doesn't look like they have a chapel, so I was wondering if Catholic services could be held in their gazebo.

Any information you all can provide would be great!  Right now I am trying to narrow down a resort--definitely the hardest part!

We havent actually had our wedding yet, but we booked a catholic wedding on November 3rd. Father Jean will be the one who's going to do the ceremony and its going to be at the NOW gazebo by the fountain. That is, besides the ballroom, the only place where they can do the ceremony.

If you're interested in having a Priest you need to tell the resort in advance so they can check his availibility. We had to switch our ceremony from 6:00pm to 1:00pm, because that was the only time he was available.

Hope that helped.

Thanks so much!  This definitely helps.  I have seen pictures of the gazebo by the fountain and it looks so pretty.

I take it Father Jean performs the ceremony in English?  I would prefer that, rather than have a translator present.

How far in advance did you book your wedding?  The information I got from the resort says that for a Catholic service you should book 6-12 months in advance.  I'm just wondering if 6 months would give us enough time.

Thanks again and congrats!

yes he speaks english and will do the ceremony english as well.

I would say book it as soon as you know the date of your wedding and have confirmation from the resort. If you want to do it at NOW, sent the wedding department an email and they will get in touch with the priest and give you his availibility. I tried the other way around and got in touch with the priest first and they told me all the appointments are made thru the wedding coordinator.

Good luck.
