I replied to you via Moon Palace 2012 thread! :)

My co ordinate has said the hotel have advised they can lower this to 15 people but I have to pay for 15 people.

I then said I would like a cocktail hour then the dinner outside at the private function or in a restaurant and then on the beach for the after party until 10pm, here is where the issue seems to be, I was advised to have the cocktail hour before but what would be the point?

I have requested the Tucan gazebo and terrace, can anyone tell me the size of the aisle as I need a runner?

Hair/Make up - Any recommendations?

Fire works - Any recommendations?

Private function food? Any recommendations?

Sorry for the long essay and questions but im I am very nervous as you can imagine.....

Hey Ladies,

Were getting married in September 2013 and have been reading through a lot of posts. I'm from the UK and have read A LOT of american & canadian brides are actually legally getting married before they arrive in Mexico. I am now considering doing this as the costs and process for getting our birth certificates legalised and translated are quite a lot - its only a total of £125 to do it all in the UK before we go...we'd maybe do it a few days before we go. We don't wanna tell guests really either. Whats you're thoughts? Also, in the symbolic wedding, are there any admin costs??

Also, we wont need to do the blood tests either.

One more question - can you therefore make up your own vows?

Cheers,

Hey everyone my name is Ashley and I am a July 2014 Moon Palace Bride! My fiancée and I were lucky enough to visit the Moon Palace last summer and its amazing! Great food, people, amenities etc....I will say that communication is quite slow at this point but my wedding coordinator said that 3 weeks prior is when it really gets down to it. I know what I want and what vendors I am working with. I am having my ceremony and reception on the beach by the Moon Grand part of the resort. We are working with Abi from Gama for our tent setup on the beach and we are going to go with the pure package for our ceremony. If you haven't done so, look over the Colin Cowell collections, they are beautiful. We all know budget is big when it comes to this stuff, but I am finding that I really will not know our exact budget until we know how many guests are coming. My coordinator from here in New York at landmarkdestinationweddings.com has reserved 25 rooms and they are all booked up....the save the dates gave us an idea of about how many people are coming, once our response cards come back we will be able to really know how to go about our reception set up as far as tables, food, etc...don't stress everything will fall into place. My fiancee and I are from NY, the place where anything is possible as far as a weddings are concerned, but at a cost $$$$$$$, we are trying to bring a little bit of our NY attitude and flair to our reception out there in Cancun and thus far all our vendors have met our expectations. It may seem stressful because everything is via email and they are not very quick to answer but keep in mind they are busy and about 3 weeks before will be nitty gritty time! Enjoy and if any has questions please ask. Happy Planning!

Hello past brides!! I was curious to find out how long the ceremony actually lasts. I am doing a civil ceremony-does it last the full hour of what is the estimated time? Also, do the coordinators discuss vows closer To time and options or does the bride/groom have to inquire about the vows? Because all that has been asked to me was if we were exchanging rings/own vows.

Thanks for anyone who can answer!

We did the complimentary ceremony but I think the only difference is that you will take thumbprints for your certificate.  Our ceremony was 15-20 min.  I was told I could not be given a ceremony script nor the vows beforehand because each person performing the ceremony has a different script.  I do know they asked once we arrived to Mexico if we were religious or not.
