Recommendations for a short honeymoon

My FI and I will be married in Cancun but we want to take a few days after the wedding for a short honeymoon. I am up for any suggestions but ideally I don't want it to be very far from Cancun but I want it to seem like it is. I thought about Isla Mujeres but if anyone has any ideas at all, I would greatly appreciate it.

Why not head a little south to Playa Del Carmen, Akumal, or Tulum? All of those would be about an hour or so away from Cancun, but have a completely different feel.

I would recommend the El Dorado Royale for your honeymoon, it's not too far from Cancun and it's gorgeous! It's an adults only resort. I was there in March and fell in love.

Maybe El Dorado would be perfect. I actually looked into that place when researching for reception locations but because it is adults only, I marked it off the list.

 

But no kids (which BTW I love) = great honeymoon place!!

Playa de Carmen is SOOOO much fun and a great place to visit even if it is just for a day or two.
