I think they'll be fine, especially just for the ceremony.  They definitely don't seem flimsy enough to break.

Update The .5 worked great! With the beading needle it is a breeze! I would highly recommend the beading needle as they open super wide and you can fit both strands through easily. Thanks dazey! I might try the .25 too depending on if it works for all my pretty beads:D

here are some of the sandals I have been working on. I swear this is my new hobby. Its so addicting! I sat there in my recliner all weekend  and beaded, I know have 9 pairs done. The possibilities are endless! Thanks Dazey for this thread:)
