I'm bringing up the subject of...Legal vs. Symbolic ceremony. Who is doing what? Is it easier do the legal thing before you head down for your DW? It seems to me with the little research and threads that I have read it would be ALOT cheaper. I would worry what day we should celebrate our actual anniversay on? If we decide to do it this way (which I'm leaning torwards the more I read) I would do the legal part HUSH HUSH, where only the FI and I were there. No one needs to know the ceremony on the beach is "pretend"! What is everyone elses thoughts?

although I am NOT a secret ride, still a Jamaica bride, as well as originally I am a fellow Ohioans, I just now live in Atlanta, but I am originally from Cleveland. I am getting married at sandals White House. I originally contemplated getting married at Iberostar Rhodes Hall but since I didn't have any children that were attending sandals was perfect for me, and it was a great great price deal as well

I am unsure as well. I would like to get married there, but if it ends up to much of a hassel or if its more than a couple hundred cheaper then i would get married in secret here first. I would do my anniversary the day of the ceromony then.

Im almost 100 % sure this is the place i want to get married at november of 2014. Does anyone kno if u can build your own package, or if there are things in the package u dont want if they credit you for removing it? I also have a small party 10-20 people so at least i dont have to pay extra for people. Im also thinking of making my bouquet bc id like to bring it back, i read you cant bring their flowers back.

Hi how are you!  I am getting married at Secrets Wild Orchid November 20, 2013, we leave in about 3 weeks.. YAYY!  There packages are pretty firm.  You can't taken anything away you can add to them however.  They will send you an extras list and you pick and choose from there.  We have 31 people going including my fiancee and myself.  We got the free wedding package and we adding on from there. It saved us a ton of money.  There other packages are a little pricey.  We decided not to do a private reception just for the mere fact that we as well as all our guests paid to eat and drink there in the price we paid to go. So we will be eating at one of the restaurants at the resort and then going to the bars to celebrate as our reception.  I had all our bridesmaids flowers, my bouquet, and the bouts all made by a florist I know where we live.  That way you can bring your flowers home and it saves you a ton of money if you have a large wedding party.  If you have any other questions feel free to ask away!  Congrats and good luck on your planning !

How are you have your flowers transported there? I didnt think you could bring outside plants and flowers into another country.

Sorry I should have specified.  All of our flowers are fake.  So we are all carrying them on the plane when we leave!

mine are real, but the ones for my bm are feather fan bouquets, so they can have as keepsake and soo much cheaper

oh ok. if you have a bouquet in mind you can email them a picture of what you want and they will send you back the quote from the florist for real flowers. Yeah that is a really good idea.  I tried to do as much as I could myself to save on money !
