So it has been a while since I posted- not that I was not planning and working on things, but I have been waiting for final numbers to finish up some of the details.  I love the idea of a signature drink, and since I am using orange and pink, I bought paper straws in orange and pink and made little flags with the same emblem as our wedding invitation and attached them to each straw.  On one side I put our initials and wedding date and on the other one of two sayings- either "Love, love, Laugh" or "Eat, Drink, and be Married."

I have also pretty much completed the welcome bags.  I ordered the drawstring bags, custom beer koozies, and insulated cups from Discountmugs.com and could not be more pleased with the service and product.  We ordered beach balls and are also going to be ordered shell bottle openers as well as some candy, granola bars, etc. for snacks down in Mexico.  We are also hoping to be able to run by a liquor store when we get there to add in a couple shots. 

 

The shell openers are called "Shore Memories" and can be found on Amazon, Ebay, and Party City although with coupons it appears Party City has the best prices.  The are individually boxed which is nice.

I also purchased a bunch or orange and pink votives from a company called partyswizzle.com.  I am beyond thrilled with the products and the price- consider taking a look as they have tons of colors and great decorations to pretty much match any theme...

It's such a neat little touch! Do the paper straws hold up once they get wet??

I love the straws but they don't hold up too well after they get wet, so hopefully my guest drink fast!
