When are you getting married before you leave?

We have opted to get married here in NY prior to leaving for Mexico next April. This was we wont have to pay all of those extra fees associated with getting legally married there. Just not sure when we will actually be getting married here!!!

 

How far in advance are you getting married??

I am debating this issue as well.  I would like 12/12/12 to be our anniversary date.  But our wedding date is 12/8/12 in Cabo - any suggestions on how to make this happen??

Exactly, I guess were going to end up with 2 anniversary dates! haha!

We are getting married June 12, 2013 in mexico and are planning to get legally married the month before. Only our immediate family and a handful of very close friends know that we will be legally married prior to Mexico. We don`t plan to do anything fancy for the marriage here- just going down to the JP office and then going for lunch after with my family. We will be using our mexico wedding date as our official anniversary date.
