Hello All,

I am writing this review, to help prospective brides choose their photographer for their wedding in Huatulco, Mexico.

When I started planning our wedding (which took place on April 28, 2012), I couldn't find much current/relevant information on this site (or others) with reviews or recommendations for photographers in the area. My husband and I researched the best we could from a far (Canada), and ended up putting our trust into our wedding coordinator (Pilar Cabrera - Dreams Huatulco, who is also awesome!), and went with her recommendation to use Miguel Angel Luna Gainza

WOW. We are so happy and thankful that we were able to use Miguel & his team for our wedding - our photos are absolutely amazing, and he was such a pleasure to work with. Miguel is very knowledgable, talented, and friendly - we would absolutely recommend him to anyone who is getting married or visiting Huatulco. We could have not asked for anything more in a photographer, we have absolutely no regrets and would use him again in a heartbeat.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask :)

Hi, my sister is looking for a photographer in Huatulco, do you remember the approx budget she would need to hire him.?

You may also consider taking your own destination wedding photographer that is familiar with Mexico. You may find the cost of bringing your own to be more reasonable while receiving better service than local photographers. In our situation our resort photographer was asking around $3000 for 6hrs with 24 photos, and local photographers were quoting similar prices. We would have paid more for the full day we wanted. We decided to with Decordova Photography ( www.decordova.ca ) for our wedding in the Riviera Maya whose packages were almost half of what the resort was asking. Shopping around took little more effort but were so content with the results and savings. Don’t be afraid to enquire with photographers that don’t directly reside in Huatulco, Mexico.
