Palace resorts photographer, any info on quality?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have any info on the Palace resorts photographers?

I wanted an outside photographer so I am sure I will have quality photographs of my day but was told I cannot have any outside vendors. I asked my TA to ask again just because I was hoping persistance would pay off but no luck yet. I have not officially signed my contract, should be getting it Monday. I wanted to use Ivan Luckie.

Does anyone have any pics? Know the quality? Details on the packages? It looks like the packages are so small for so much money. Not sure if it is even worth upgrading.

Thank you in advance :)

Hi Brooke,

Yeah, sadly a lot of resorts no longer allow local photographers.  However, there is always the option of flying in your photographer as a guest to your wedding.  That's pretty much the only way to gaurantee that your photos will be as amazing as you've always dreamed.

Good luck!

If you book your photographer 1-2 nights (depending on who you talk to) they are then a guest of your wedding and you should not have a problem.  I am getting married at Sun Palace and I am flying down a local photographer and she is staying for 3 nights, so she is definetly a guest of my wedding! :)

There are a few people on here that used Smile Market and loved them- you may want to PM LadyDi- she got married in March at Moon Palace and used and LOVED Smile Market.

My only advice is that if your resort photographer is not the best, then think of it as you have two options.

1.  Lose out on the money by declining the services of the photographer

2.  Lose out on the memories of your wedding day by having photos you're embarrassed to show or you have too few to make a proper wedding album from.

Over time, the money from the wedding package will seem like nothing, but the family heirloom that is your wedding photos will live on forever.
