We are looking at keeping it pretty simple considering it will be the 3rd time we are getting married (1st at home before the wedding-legal just us, 2nd-desto wedding, and 3rd AHR) We are doing a ceremony in a church since his fam is catholic and mine is not, and then we were thinking of having something catered but keeping it fairly small IE wedding party, family, and people who couldn't come to the real deal due to pregnancies etc. We are hoping to keep the whole bill around $2000 but have not priced out venues just yet. His mom has also volunteered to help us out with the bill for this (yay) ! Hopefully we'll have a more solid price soon...

wow three times.. keep fingers crossed that his mom will help

We are planning to stock up on alcohol at Costco or BevMo and FI has some bartender friends that we could enlist to help out with mixing drinks for a reasonable cost. Then we're planning just to have passed apps, cupcakes and a small cake to cut, an iPod playlist for music, and a slideshow of wedding pics going. I'm hoping we can do it all for $7500.

wow just for the venue steep..hope you can do it all for the $7500 I want to do a slideshow too.

We are definitely thinking of having an AHR, but most likely will be a cookout or something informal, need to keep costs low, since after the wedding we will be saving for our house!!!! My niece had one when she returned from Mexico, and showed all her pics set to music on dvd for those that couldnt attend. It was a lot of fun, and very casual!
