First time I've done one of these....suggestions welcome!!

I would suggest making the names larger, as right now they are dwarfed by the S. I would also try bringing the palm trees onto either side of the date for balance.

kudos to you for making them yourself.  I love the first one, but def, the names need to be a little larger.  the 2nd one just pops! i kind of like it more too, although i'm more partial to scripty/cursivy font.
