How far in advance to book DW

Hi All,

 

I am a new bride to be and starting to plan our destination wedding in either Dominican or Mexico. The wedding is going to be next April, so about 11 months out. We are currently getting quotes and they are coming back extremely high. Does anyone have feedback on the best time frame to book? Should we wait until 9 months out for a better price??

Agents are telling me no and friends are telling me yes.

Any advise would be appreciated!!
