Everyone's invites are so amazing! I have problems comprehending how creative some of you are!

Karla, i've never seen your invites before, but WOW.

Amyh: after seeing yours when they were finished it's hard for me to believe that your ideas had to come from somewhere. I just imagined that you knew how to make yours all along; you made yours seem so effortless.

I am having major indecision issues with my invites. I like about 5 different ideas, 3 different flowers, but cannot decide on anything! I think about having a belly band on my invite, or maybe ribbon, or maybe a monogram closure, etc. I either need to take a class on how to make decisions or stop looking at ideas!smile105.gifsmile105.gif

What if you had some flier sized "post cards" created for your Save the Date? If the Size 10 envelopes are the ones that I'm thinking of a normal post card would be too high.

You could do postcards. #10 envelopes are 4 1/8 high and the minimum size for postcards are 3.5 x 5. I would do postcards that 4x6

Here are my invitations from last year. I had a local graphic designer based in Chicago design them for me. They were perfect!

These are my DIY invitations - everything made and printed at home, from the invitations to the envelope liners. I wanted them to have a vintage travel feel. The inspiration came from a collection featured in Martha Stewart Weddings. Unfortunately I do not recall which issue. I made everything using Microsoft Word and Photoshop. The layouts for the invitation wording, RSVP and info cards and the stamp was made in Word. The background for the invitation and the envelope liners were done in Photoshop (some serious Photoshop-ing of a hand drawn alpana). The stamp was ordered from Office Depot or Staples. The invite and all enclosures were all tied together with twine and a punched Mickey.

On the inside, we had a picture of us and information about the wedding but it was in exactly the same format as your passport. We had all kinds of very funny copy embedded in the codes, too.

Then, on the pages inside we created "stamps" with information about Cabo, the wedding, etc. We found very authentic paper that feels like passport paper and then our friend recreated the style.

If anyone is interested in stealing our idea, I have the full lay-out and copy, etc. It was very cool (I don't take credit, my husband and our friend did all of it - well, I helped with assembly).
I loved your Invitations!! can i please have the template! i would love to borrow ur idea!!
