Kids at the Wedding - cost?

When places quote that they cover 20 people in the base price, and state that the cost for extra people at the reception will be a certain dollar amount, does this include children as well?  Most of the family and friends that would be invited have young, under 8 years old, children and would probably bring them along as well.  If we have to pay $70 to $90 dollars for every five year old or three year old that attends then our guest list will have to change dramatically.  Has anyone had experience with this?  Is there a reduced charge for children?

Hello! Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding! With my experience planning my wedding at Dreams, children are half the price of an adult. In my situation, this applies to children attending the rehearsal dinner and reception. I have let my wedding coordinator know how many adults and children so I can be billed accordingly. Typically, payments for such items are due about a month before so you have time to determine the adult and child head count. Good luck! Hope this helps!
