I think the dress will look beautiful in TTD photos. A mermaid dress, to me, fits perfectly into the setting. I'm also wondering who is planning on going to bars and such after the formalities and what are you going to be wearing?

My fiance and I are. Our group is going to be only siblings and parents (and each of our best friends) so we're having an iPod during the "reception/dinner" instead of a DJ. We're gonna go out after (no clue where yet, on/off the resort) and I was just gonna stay in my dress. I only get to wear that thing once....I'm wearing it as long as possible!

No such things as off topic in this thread... I don't think there are any rules or guidlelines for this which is why you will see different answers. My general rule of thumb is this - I tip those who provide a service that I don't directly pay for. If someone is an independent professional and sets his or her own rates/owns their establishment, I see no need to tip that person. However, I do plan on tipping my photog as he is handling the most important detail of my wedding.  While I believe him to be professional and great at his craft if a tip might inspire him to perform at 110% instead of 100%, then that's what I'll do. In addition to my photog, I will tip the WC at the resort, the decidated waitstaff for the cocktail hour and reception, hair/make-up stylist (if used), Mariachis, and of course rooms service and waistaff during our stay... hope this helps.

Thanks so much. That sounds liek a good rule of thumb.
