Hey Tova, I'm not sure. A bride on the Excellence Playa Mujeres thread got married in May and it changed right before her wedding. She emailed me after her wedding to let me know how easy the process is now after just having gone through it. I emailed my wedding coordinator and she confirmed that the laws in Quintana Roo had changed and all we needed were the blood tests, passports and tourist cards. That sealed the deal for us. Mark is divorced so we were looking at having to get his divorce decree transcribed as well as our birth certificates, etc.

Hmmm... I might have to look into this. I wonder if the ceremony still has be delivered in spanish with a translator present. Do you know?

Sorry I'm not sure about that but it seems like she did say that's still how it was. Not sure if it HAS to be though. I'll have to ask about that myself.

I don't really like the idea of hearing my ceremony second hand, and I don't think you can modify/personalize their script at all, which i don't like either. So if both of these are still true, I think I'll stick with the symbolic ceremony even if it it is easier to get legally married now.

Same here; we pretty much know who is coming, with just a couple exceptions. That's one reason I haven't worried too much over the invitation issue.

Got a couple more of the design pieces finished...what do you think? Would love some feedback...anything you think needing to be changed?

(There are some times I can't confirm yet which is why they've been left out.)

Thanks for compliment on the pic!

I love the door hanger and wedding event schedule . Just for clarification, is the wedding weekend event a separate item or is it the back of the door hanger? A couple things that stand out to me - maybe consider bumping down the text a few lines on the hanger to fill out the white space better. The text seems to start too high and a little space between the sky image and 'Do Not Disturb' may look better. On the wedding weekend event, the font and color used for â€˜Wedding Dayâ€™ seems a bit random and doesnâ€™t fit with the rest of the design and I think the black text is a bit stark. With that said, Iâ€™m wondering if you can introduce a darker font color as an accent (deep eggplant) and incorporate it into your designâ€¦ maybe us it for the day/date headings as well? Maybe use this darker color in place of the color used for â€˜wedding weekend eventsâ€™ and â€˜Iâ€™ve been Partyingâ€¦â€™ so that thereâ€™s a bit more of a contrast?
