I am also a Punta Cana bride (at Iberostar).

It is so beautiful there--you will not be disappointed.

We will be getting married civilly here and have our symbolic/religious ceremony there (a lot less paperwork to deal with!).

LIST OF REQUIREMENTS

FOR A LEGAL WEDDINGS IN ANY HOTEL IN PUNTA CANA

 

Any couple who desires to get married by the Sacrament of Matrimony in any hotel of Diocese of Altagracia (Macao, Bávaro, Punta Cana) has to obey these requirements:

 

TO PREPARE THESE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS in their own parish:

 

CIVIL DOCUMENTS (To legalized by Dominican Consulate)

 

Birth Certificate of both.

Notarized statutory declaration of single status by the Dominican Consulate.

Certificate of marriage if the couple is married by the Law in his country.

Death Certificate of a Previous Partner in Marriagc

 Civil Divorce Certificate.

Translations of all the civil documents to SPANISH

 

 

 

OTHER CIVIL DOCUMENTS (Do not need to be legalized)

 

Passport Numbers and addresses of 2 witnesses for the Wedding.

Passport Numbers, addresses and Profession of groom and bride.

Names and addresses of their Parents.
