What shoes do guys wear with linen pants?

Anyone have any pictures for inspiration? My FI really wants to get shoes for our 16 month old son that match his. He's wearing a light tan linen suit and wanted dark brown shoes.

I really dont want my FI and the groomsmen to wear sandals with their linen suits but I dont know what to suggest instead???

My fiance will be wearing a nice pair of flipflops. He hates flipflops but he will do it for me. haha <3

I bought all the groomsmen these sandals at Walmart for $10 ...they too are wearing linen pants

just depends I've seen some wear flip flops,  brown dress shoes   or bare foot
