Feeding a Picky Eater

Recommended Posts

 Hi, All

I know this is a random thread, but I thought I might as well ask.  My fiance is an extremely picky eater.  He likes the normal kids meal foods - chicken tenders, burgers, mac n cheese, and cesar salad, but it is so hard to get him to eat something else.  He wont eat most vegetables, only apples for fruits, etc.  And, instead, he will eat lots of chips, drink soda, and eats junk food (candy and cookies).  I would really like to diversify our menu options with healthy, easy meals that a picky eater would like.  Does anyone have any suggestions for recipes?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks and happy planning/weddings/marriages!

Courtney

p.s. I can't eat seafood.  :(  That is the one thing he is more open to eating...

Roast root veggies are always a big success with my hungry monster- things like parsnips come out tasting candied if you do them in a nice balsamic glaze.

Oh! And omelettes are also a lovely way of sneaking in healthy things like peppers.

Wraps are a good idea, too or healthy burgers- you can trick him into thinking he's having junk: do grilled chicken breasts and salad, with a good low cal sauce. Instead of chips, try sweet potato fries or an asian slaw.

Good luck

My fiancé is extremely picky too! It's hard to get him eat different things.

I get him to eat his greens and veggies in a smoothie. That's the only way he'll eat things like kale and spinach.
