Need advice for this dress in a size 26

I love two dresses, this first on dressilyme.com, but figured out is a Sincerity 3661:

 

 

 

First, I hadn't realized this wasn't their dress, so I'm wondering how you all think it would come out. [Click Here to see the full listing on dressily]

 

Also, this dress is a mermaid underneath with an a-line overlay.  I know for a fact that a mermaid wouldn't look good on this size 26 bod, but do you think it would matter if they just made it all a-line?

 

They're also calling the overlay "net", but it looks like either chiffon or organza to me.  Any thoughts on what to request?

And another thing (!):  I'm either going to order it in ivory or their really dark bordeaux color, but not sure how their lace appliques look in colors.  TIA!
