My DIY Cardbox

I thought I would share the project I just finished. I found this chest at Jysk a few weeks back for $15 and saw some potential for a more vintage, buried treasure kind of a vibe, which is what I'm after. 

I found the directions for antiquing here and followed it loosely.  I was thinking of having the lid open with one of those cute little flag banners that says "cards"

So after much paint, rags and mess here it is!

I'm stuck on this task for our AHR, we need something like this! I might go to hobby lobby and try to find some sort of little vintage-y trunk. Thanks for the inspiration!
