***TULUM BRIDES 2012-2013***

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I've been trying to a place to get married for about a month now. We don't have a lot of time. we need to get married in April or May. We are debating between Las Ranitas & Akin. My concern about the Akiin is a place to stay. I haven't been able to find a reliable coordinator in Tulum yet.

If some who is getting married there or got married there before can help me I would really be appriciated!!

 Wedding Love!!

Kathie, I'm getting married in June at Ana y Jose Hotel (not the beach club) and have been using Jackie their planner. She is wonderful and very responsive via email. I was looking for a location that did not require booking an entire hotel and they have been very accommodating . She works for Tulum Weddings (http://www.tulumweddings.com/) and can be emailed at [email protected] Good luck!!!

Hi Kathie, I posted above about why we took Akiin out of the running, but it's obviously a personal choice. In terms of wedding coordinators, we have really loved Angelina at Las Ranitas so far. We will post a full review after our wedding next month, but so far she has worked really hard to make our vision come true and address all our concerns along the way. She even went and took pictures of the diaper selection at the grocery store so my sister-in-law could plan what to pack for my niece and nephew! She is the best. Sometimes it does take her a few days or up to a week to respond to an email when she is busy, though. I think that is rather typical for Mexico, and Angelina has been the most responsive person we have worked with.

Hello Tulum Brides,

You can't go wrong with Las Ranitas, Tulum!!! We love what they've done after their recent renovation, the place is spacious, beautiful and has an amazing wedding coordinator that will do almost about anything to make your dreams come true: Ms Angelina Cardenas.

Here are just a few pics of our most recent wedding there (Mexican Theme):

Hello Tulum Brides!! I'm getting excited and ready for my June wedding at Ana y Jose hotel. I have been having lots of guests ask about transportation to and from the airport. Does anyone have a company they would recommend? On past trips we have not been very satisfied with our transportation and would like to hear some options people have tried and recommend. Thanks!

Hi tmdavis 13,

Congratulations! We are getting married July 5, 2013 at Akiin! I did a lot of research and TripAdvisor and the people there really helped me. This is what we posted on our wedding website:

Upon arrival to Cancun you have several transportation options. Our suggestions are:
  • Private transfer- If you are arriving with a group, this is a great option! A private van with usa-transfers.com can take up to 10 people for $100 to Tulum hotel zone. They also work with smaller groups. When you visit usa-transfers.com click on “transfer rates†then “Airport to Tulum†for more information. You can book online!
  • Take a bus- The direct bus ride to Tulum is only available at the following times: 2:00 pm, 7:45 pm, and 8:45 pm. The bus will drop you off at Tulum pueblo (town), and then you must get a taxi to the hotel. The ticket is only about $13! The ticket counter, Boletotal or ADO, is right past customs at the airport. Visit www.ticketbus.com.mx for more information.
  • Rent a car-  At rentalcars.com you can compare prices for rental companies operating in the Cancun area. If you decide to rent a car, we strongly suggest you do this in advance. Prices will be much higher at the airport.

Let me know if you have any questions!
