Your print material was fantastic - great job and all your decor look fabulous. Obviously I love your color choices

I loved how your mom and dad were in the green color and could you look anymore like him?

My name is Karina and i'm getting married at Now Jade on June 8th 2016.  My first langage is french so maybe my english won't be perfect

 

I'm looking for some past or future brides that i can talk to to have informations about their wedding.  My wedding coordinator is Pamela and i'm trying to organize my wedding with her.  For now, we have chosen the Eternity package but i would like to know if some of you had taken the Divine and if the video worth the cost ?

 

Pamela, told me that it is impossible to change anything in the package.  I've asked her if it is possible to pay an extra fee to have a pianist instead of a guitaris but she says it's impossible to change anything from the package.

 

I would also like to know if it is possible for some of you to send me picture of your wedding bouquet ?  I would like to have some blue flowers in my bouquet but there's none of it in the wedding guide.  Maybe i'll bring my real touch bouquet from home.

 

When you bring some decorations from home, did they charge you a lot of extra fees to setup them ?  She want to charge me 40$ to setup the chair bows, 40$ to setup the aisle runner, 40$ to setup the backdrop for the ceremony, 40$ to setup centerpieces, 40$ to setup chairbows for the dinner, 40 $ to setup paper lanterns that i'll brinf from home...  Is that what happened to someone else here ?

I am working through a wedding planning in Toronto. We were quote 80USD for the set up of chair sashes but there was no mention of additional charges for other decorations. I am somewhat expecting addition charges when we arrive.

I'm at Now Sapphire, so some things are similar but others are different. It seems there is generally a set up fee for most items that you bring on your own, unfortunately. For the bouquet, send photos of your ideas to your WC. She should be able to have the florist quote something for you. Often they can substitute for different colored flowers at no extra cost. I've found that most other things they are not very flexible with - take it or leave it and you are paying for it no matter what.

Hi all,

I am getting married at Now Jade in May 2016. Several people have recommended Styling Trio for hair and make-up and it sounds like the hotel spa is pretty hit and miss. Can anyone tell me if they had to pay the $350 outside vendor fee for hair and make up? Styling Trio is pretty pricey on its own and I'm afraid another $350 puts it out of my budget. Also, if any one has any recommendations for other hair/make-up vendors I should check out I would love to get more suggestions.

Warning...please read!!

We got married in April 2015 at Now Jade Riviera. Everything was fantastic and all our guests had a great time.

 

In the last two weeks we started to get calls from our banks notifying us of suspicious activity on our debit cards Nd withdrawals and online purchases over $1000 of dollars in our credit cards. My parents as well who had used a couple different credit cards (to pay for the wedding down there) also had the same thing. This was strange since we all bank separately. At this point in two weeks it has been 6 different credit cards and 5 debit card accounts that had been blocked for suspicious activity and unauthorized withdrawals. We didn't suspect the resort at all until some of our friends and family brought it up that in the last week a total of 8 other couples have had the exact same thing happen. The banks have been great with notifying us right away and blocking out cards but not until a money had already been taken out. One of our bank cards that we never ever ever use at bank machines or to make purchases Was blocked and the only time we have ever used it was at the little atm outside of the gift shop at the resort. It is the only atm machine that the resort has. We have spoke with out banks and they have pretty much said that they are positive that our credit cards and bank debit cards were being skimmed from the machine at the resort. It is way to much of a coincidence to have that many people at the same time from different banks having their accounts compromised. We have reported it.

So not bashing the resort but just a warning to bring cash... Do not use the bank machine at the resort and please let your guests know. And if you have recently been married there and you know you used the machines then call your banks and get your pin# changed.
