Who can provide more insight on going through customs with decorations and welcome bag contents?

 

I have heard there is a $300 limit. Does this include decorations and welcome bag contents? How strict are they?

 

Our welcome bags are about $700 total for all the contents and our décor is about $400.

 

Welcome bags include - bag, insulated personalized mugs, personalized koozies, aspirin, gum, chap stick, sunscreen, playing cards, and Kleenex.

 

Décor includes - chair sashes, mini vases, water beads, floating candles, fake pedals, name place cards, and bridal party flowers.

I am going to bring the receipts for certain items though since I have 15 table runners, 100 chair sashes etc. just so they know that I am not bringing them into the country for resale.

I agree, customs and packing is stressing me out the most! Hoping for a green light!!!

 

Also, as mentioned it's $300 per person for gifts so you actually have $600 included the groom. Just make sure you have your receipts. From what I read they are pretty strict so if you're over pass some goods on to others!
