Getting married this Saturday at the Now Jade.  Originally leaving Wednesday but decided to move it up one day because of the potential snow storm in DC/Baltimore.

Weather looks fantastic and although I haven't heard from Pilar much, keeping my fingers crossed that everything will run smoothly.  Promise to write a detailed review and answer any questions upon my return.

Everything will be lovely.  If there's one thing that's been consistent, it's been that you shouldn't worry because everything will be amazing and beautiful.  Safe travels!  Looking forward to your photos/review when you return.  Congratulations!@

We had amazing weather - we were there from feb 6- 13 and it was hot and sunny (with a few clouds) everyday in the low 30s.  The first nite there was a sprinkle of rain (maybe 4-5 minutes max!) but it was later in the evening so no one minded.  It definitely got cooler in the evening tho (and windy) - recommend a light sweater or cardigan.

I am planning on putting these little baggies in my OOT bags with cute labels on them, one will be for Advil, the other for Imodium. I'm just scared customs will think i am bringing in some kind of drugs. Does anyone know if this is okay. It's just turning out alot cheaper than buying those little individual packets...

I would think that this is fine, but I would bring the medicine in the bottles and divide it once you are at the resort.

If anyone was wondering, I got a response from Pilar regarding the size of the round tables- they are 54 inches if anyone is planning on bringing their own tableclothes down.

I also have an interesting question... I have never been to Now Jade, but other all inclusives that I have stayed at have required all guests to wear a wristband designating them as being a guest of the property.  Does Now Jade do this?  If so, do they cut them off for all guests during the wedding and then give new ones?  I have not seen any in pictures and definitely do not want my guests to wear them!  Pictures will come out a lot better!!!!

Thanks! I was hoping I wouldn't have to go that route! I already have so much to put together when we get there! Errrr....

Hi Everyone!

If anyone is thinking about bringing their own tablecloths down you might be interested in checking out www.linentablecloth.com. They ship to Canada as well as the US. Instead of paying $4/person for coloured napkins from the resort.. I got 3 dozen navy blue cloth napkins for about 50 cents a piece. They happen to have a sale on for TODAY ONLY... 20% the entire site + free shipping. If you sign up for their newsletters you will get updates about their sales/promotions.

I've attached two documents that I recently received from Pilar.
They show the setup and the measurements of the Pergola and the aisle.

Here images she sent me of the table dimensions.

I am getting SO excited! I will be getting Married at Now Jade in under 2 weeks! Ahhhhhh! We leave March 13th and our ceremony is on Saturday the 16th! I have been pretty laid back during this whole experience (don't get me wrong, I am still very detail oriented, simply not letting stress become a factor). I wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who posted questions and answers on this forum. You all really helped me to plan vs emailing the coordinator over and over...which can take FOREVER to get a satisfactory/clear response. So I really appreciate each and everyone of you!! I fully tend to pay it forward by coming back to this site and posting pictures and reviews for all of you future brides as I know its hard to envision the "Big Picture" and how it will all come together!

We are very fortunate to be the only ones wedding on the 16th! This way if I want to make last minute location changes I can.

As of right now we are getting married at the Pergola, cocktail hour and the Blue Bar, and reception of the Terrace. However, I may switch to the bamboo room---we shall see! We are traveling with 29 people. We went with the divine package. We forgoed the resort photographer and are bringing one of our own from the States. I am so glad I went this route! We are paying for her and her spouses/assistant's trip and in return we will have her all day for the wedding, a bonus day to photo any event of our choosing and full rights to all edited photos!

We are doing a combo religious/symbolic wedding and have written most of the script ourselves.

We have a wedding party of 2 bridesmaids and 3 groomsmen.

Currently I am trying to finish all the minor DIY projects! Hope it all runs smoothly!

You must be so excited! Everything you have said sounds just like my wedding :)

I'm also hoping to have the option of making a last minute switch to the bamboo room if I find the the Terrace is too cramped for my group. We are a group of 35 + 3 infants. I am also getting married at the Pergola and having our cocktail hour at the Blue Bar.

I am bringing our own photographers from home.. we simply have to pay for their trip and agree to purchase an album of photos. We have them all day as well as a bonus day.. I'm thinking about doing a TTD session. :)

Are you using an officiant from the resort? I'm concerned about the language barrier... so I've asked my brother-in-law to act as an officiant. I'm working on writing out the ceremony right now and am hoping he can add to it so that it doesn't sound too scripted.

I look forward to reading your review!
