I have decided on maracas as favors and escort cards/name cards and I'm not sure how to make this work. If the tables are broken up it would be easy to name/number tables but I'm not sure if they will be or if they'll be pushed together to form a single long table. Does anyone know what is the norm? I guess my other question is do I even need to do escort cards with this smaller number of people, and just put the maraca on the table at each seat with their name? Or will everyone be circling the table to find their seat so I would need the escort card...and if so how should I do it?

I had 15 people and did a long table. I used maraca's as our favors and I just had them sitting at each seat. I didn't do assigned seating since it was so small but you could put their names on the cards attached to the maracas and people can just look and find there seat. You can also put a little mark on the escort cards as a way to distinguish what each person ordered.

Can anyone tell me if buffet is an option for the reception dinner? We will probably have about 40 people and I do not like the menu options for the eternity of divine packages. I understand you have to do buffet for 50 people or more but we would like to do it anyways!

Thanks!

I think since it's close to 50 people, they will do it for you

Don't have too as not everyone is married before the symbolic ceremony - we opted to do the civil ceremony after our DW, just worked out better for us that way.

Hi all!

If you are planning on getting married AFTER your symbolic ceremony in destination, make sure that you confirm with your specific resort as to whether or not they require your marriage certificate before hand. Some resorts do require this, meaning you would need to have your Legal wedding BEFORE departing for your destination wedding! Even if you do not have your marriage certificate yet, they will accept the portion of your marriage license that you are given after your legal wedding!

Happy planning!

Ok, I'm confused! If we are getting married before, do we need to bring it? And why? We are getting legally married 2 days prior to leaving, would we have it in time?
