OFFICIAL NOW Jade Wedding Thread

I had a 5:00 ceremony on may 16th and it was great. I had 46 ppl total on the terrance and we fit perfectly fine. I had 2 long tables, one for family, the other for friends and then my husband and i had a table in the middle. Dancing was off to the side and everyone fit fine

I have also booked the terrace for my reception, being outside was a must for me! I was just wondering if you could please tell me if you know the latest the dancing can go until? I have heard both 10:30 and 11:00 because it is outdoors, I have emailed the resort lots and just keep getting quotes for the extended DJ prices. Just curious, thank you!

Hey ladies!

So I'm starting to feel the crunch seeing that I am almost at the 4 months mark! I finally ordered my invitations last week...had to pay for the rush on them since I waited so long!

We ordered plastic mason jar mugs with lids and handles for everyone from discountmugs.com was pretty reasonable as long as you can ship them to the US.

Hopefully ordering the guys suits this week.

Ordering fiancé's ring as well, through a seller in Etsy.

What I am a little stuck on is what to do for centre pieces. I figure we will have about 10 tables. I am ordering burlap and lace table runners from ebay as I found a good deal. What is everyone else doing for theirs? I want something simple and easy to pack!! All ideas would be awesome!!

I am right there with you, our date is Nov. 7th and I also want to order mason jar mugs from discountmugs. And I was also thinking burlap table runners/maybe with lace. Etsy has a ton of options for the table runners too. But I just don't know what to do about flowers., purchasing 10 centerpieces is out of the question for us. So I was thinking of silk flowers, I also need ideas!!

So far we are thinking various size mason jars and putting sand in some (from beach) with shells and starfish from home....floating candles or water with some petals. I cannot afford big floral centerpieces as I initially started with "I'll just take the free included bouquet" to now wanting an artificial one with matching for bridal party to the tune of about 450 lol

I agree, I love the look of mason jars, just unsure how they will be to pack and bring down. I love the look of flowers but I cannot justify the cost!! We will be doing bridal party bouquets with real flowers but that's it!

I am wondering if it would work to go to wal mart or someplace and grab some vases and such for table centre pieces just so I don't have to bring it down with me? Also, stopping at a florist and picking up flowers and then putting single stems into vases? Thoughts?

If you have the Divine package, the sound system for the ceremony is included.  You can move your musician to the cocktail hour without needing to pay extra for your music to be played at your ceremony.  At least this was how it worked for our wedding in June.  Not sure about how this works with any other package.  We had the guitar player for the cocktail hour and it was really nice--he was able to play for much more than we would have used him at the ceremony and it made for a nice ambiance.

What kind of music did the guitarist play? We are also thinking of using this for the cocktail hour

Hi guys!

I've read a lot of people saying they're bringing or had brought bows for the chairs.  Do they still charge you to set those up or no? Or do you have to do them yourselves?
