Thanks Kristen! Your wedding day is so close, you must be excited! Can't wait to hear how it goes!

I am glad they took the time to write a reply, and do hope they address the concerns from the reviews. Please keep an eye out on the glasses at the bar situation and report back if you can?

I am in Now Jade at present and have had no problems with glass or any other lack of cleanliness.. Plus the staff are all so friendly and most helpful. We got married on 6th May and now time to male the most of the rest of our time here :)

Thanks Kristen! So nice to hear, and I know Photos in Cancun has probably been to every resort in the Cancun area! Can't wait to meet Pilar, I hope she is really "the shit!!"

Did you get everything worked out with your travel agent?

Hi Ladies,

Our wedding is November 1st and in the past month my sister (who is also my maid of honor) told me she is pregnant and will be over 6 months at the time of the wedding meaning she cannot travel. My FI cousin's (who is his best man) wife is pregnant and will be due a week after the wedding so they cannot go. My mother told me she cannot go due to finances and also my aunt will not be able to go due to being on chemo. I have lost my excitement for the wedding due to all of the cancellations and I cannot imagine having my wedding with the above people not there. I booked through Teresa from Vacations for less. I blocked 10 rooms for $1000. only 3 people put deposits down so far. Does anyone know IF we were to cancel how would we do so and would the guests who booked lose their money? I would feel horrible if they did which is why I don't know what to do. I also paid in full for the photographers room since we are flying him here. My fiance did say if we canceled that we would still go to Secrets Maroma for our honeymoon and maybe we could use the $1000 that we already put down for the room block. I don't know what to do :(

Oh Michelle, I am so sorry to hear about these recent cancellations. Dealing with bookings/RSVPs is so stressful, especially when it's people who are so important to you. Unfortunately I have no idea what Vacations for Less may be able to do to help you in this situation.

I think I've realized that no matter when we decided to have our wedding, there will always be someone important who can't come.  It sounds like your sister, Aunt, and FI's cousin's wife may not be able to travel for quite some time, and it's difficult for your Mom regardless of when the time is. Are you considering postponing it for awhile? What's most important is that you and your fiance will be there. I hope you can figure something out, so you'll be excited for YOUR big day!

I've cried (and been quite angry) so many times over the past two months over people I love who cannot come to our wedding (including my FI's pregnant sister), but I've started really trying to focus on the amazing group of people that ARE coming.

I know for the wedding, you get a full refund if 6 months before the wedding.  I am not sure about the rooms though.  That is horrible about so many people not being able to attend, but at the same time, I don't think you just told these people about the wedding.  People should not say they can be in your wedding party if they won't be able to go.  My thoughts are that we told people 1 year in advance.  Our room price is like $600 for 7 nights.  If they couldn't put that much together in such a long period of time, well then I'm sorry.

Are you definitely cancelling your wedding?  That would be horrible to lose so much money.

Sorry, after I reread that, it sounded pretty harsh and that was not how it was meant to be, so sorry for that.  Let me try this again.  I too would be very upset, especially if my mom couldn't be there.  As for your sister and your FI's cousins wife, I would be upset, but might not cancel the wedding over that.  Would you be up for postponing it?  Just remember that it is a special day with you and FI.  Yes, the other people add to it, but it still won't change the fact that you and him will be married and happy.  Someone is always going to not be able to make it, or be critical of it or something like that.  What if you guys still went, but did a small wedding, then had a small reception when you get home.  You could play your wedding video, or do a renewal of your vows.  It would still be nice, but at least you won't be losing out on all of that deposit money.

If I were you, I would definitely have a glass of wine.

And also, the RSVP part of this is the worst.  We blocked 20 rooms and only have 9 booked so far, but yet all of our wedding party still needs to block their rooms.  I mean, I just want these people to put down the $50 deposit to block their rooms, or at least send in their reply cards!

Thank You Ironman and Brandi!

It is not definite. I will discuss this all tonight with my fiance. My sister and I are so close and it will be weird without her, my mom and my aunt but I do understand the other guests being there which means a lot. I guess I have to get past the fact that the closest people to me won't be there. UGH

I sent out my Save the Dates exactly one year in advance and everyone was totally into it. Now that it is getting closer people are getting pregnant and canceling lol. I have to just think about it.

Not harsh at all LOL. I guess as the day is going on I am understanding that maybe I shouldn't cancel. I think I will have that glass of wine tonight after work and discuss with my fiance. I just WISH they could be there. But, I already have my dress and want to wear it lol. I don't know. we shall see :)
