Question-- How many bridesmaids is too many bridesmaids?? My girls are super important to me, and I think I have more than the average number of bridesmaids. I wouldn't be concerned but we are going with the Pergola, and I was wondering if anyone knows how many will fit on my side without looking insane? I will probably end up with 8.  Thanks ladies!
We are also doing the pergola, i have 7 bridesmaids. We decided that the front 2 rows of seating will be reserved for them, and once they walk down the aisle, they go right to a seat. We are having only our MOH and BM stand up during the ceremony. They all seemed fine with that, it was actually suggested by a bridesmaid! We just think it will look silly with 14 attendants standing and only 20 seated guests, ya know?

Ok, these are my last questions for sure... 1) Is Del Sol photography the resort photographer?? I noticed most pictures posted here on this BDW thread are Del Sol, and they are amazing! If not, does anyone have price quotes? 2) Any info on firedancers from anyone who has had them? Price? How long they perform? 3)What is the purpose of adding "the dance floor" to the package?? Does this mean sectioning off an area for dancing or is this mainly for outdoor receptions where there is no "floor"?? Super confused on this one! Thanks!  Sorry in advance for the five billion questions.
No apologies for the questions! That's what the forum is for, I have learned so much on her, it's crazy! 1 . The resort photog is Adventure Photos. Not sure about Del Sol pricing because we went with Photos in Cancun (Derek Campbell) 2 . We got a quote from Pilar for the fire dancers, I can't remember exactly, will double check in my email, but it was close to $600 for a 45 minute session! She suggested we wait, and plan a welcome dinner on the night where the fire dancers come in already- I guess they have a weekly calendar they provide upon check- in. Too bad, my FI really wanted them, but adjust couldnt justify the cost. Let me double check my email, I will repost 3 . The floor rental is for a beach reception I think?

Bamboo Room vs. Castaways??  Pros & Cons??  Also does anyone have any insight between the beach & pergola?? They are both gorgeous! I can't decide : (
Maybe I'm biased because I chose the pergola and bamboo room but....this is why. I read on here that the beach can be very windy and the water is very loud, so we decided pergola. Plus, I really just like the look of the pergola. We went with the bamboo rom bc I read that castaways has an open ceiling and, what if it rains? Plus, the bamboo room is air conditioned, and I want my guests to be comfortable and dance! I think the beach is beautiful though, and I've seen reception pics in castaways, which are also fantastic, so it's a hard decision....

For example the Devine package is $2999.  If you look at the a la carte services, most of them say plus 11% tax and 15% for service.

I am working on my budget and trying to determine where tax will be charged.

To the $2999

I assume 11% plus 15% for any extra person charge

And 11% for any other extras (flowers, DJ, etc.)

Thanks.

2 months from yesterday for me!!!!

Hey There

I just got my final quote - and here is how the taxes broke out...

For the packacge price of $2999 - taxes of 297.20 were already included.

The 11% tax was added to the decorations, chairs, sound system, boquets and additional photography package.

The 15% service charge and 11% tax was added to the extra hors d'ouvres, extra meals, champagne toast, and cake.

No tax or service charge was charged on the extra hour extension, room drops or candles.

I hope this helps :)

Hi Caroline,

I'm not getting married at NOW Jade (although I was there in April and LOVED the resort - your wedding will be beautiful!) however I did rent the crystal backdrop for my wedding from Saku Wedding Cancun who has been awesome with her communication.  Weddingcancun.mx is their site.  Here is a picture of what I am renting - it was just over $100.  Keep in mind though that they do have a minumum order and there is a delivery charge.  I'm getting a lot of extra stuff so it was worth it for the ease.  I do know you can buy this stuff online too, although I haven't personally ordered anything and I'm not sure how you would hang it up or if Pilar could do it for you.  Good luck!

Lauren

Thanks, Lauren. I'll consider contacting them for more information on the crystals.  Congratulations on your wedding too and happy planning!
