HI!!

Which room category did you get upgraded to that is included in the package? If I were to do another upgrade to the governor suite, does anyone now how much we have to pay???

I do recal reading that the Govenor Suite is specifically excluded from free upgrades. I don't remember the source, but maybe some of the other Now Jade brides will know and chime in.

Ok ladies,

When did you, or when do you plan to send out your official invitations?

My wedding is March 9, 2013.  I sent the save the date magnets around Memorial Day.  I'd like to send out invites sooner rather then later, just so everyone has plenty of time to get their travel plans in order.

I am trying to understand the dinner options for the Eternity package.  Do the guests get a choice of the scallop/mahi-mahi and the pork?  Do I include those options on the invite?  If they choose the pork is the appetizer and soup set for them?

Thanks!

I remember seeing that too - I think its the "fine print" on the package info that lays out what you get in each of the three packages.

I'm getting married at the NOW Jade in October.  As it appears now, we won't be having a DJ or band for the reception.  I still really want a "first dance" with my future husband.  Has anyone went to the Sports Bar and requested a song from the DJ?  I know it won't be private and that doesn't really matter, I just really want that dance.

If you rent the sound system (which you most likely have to if you want music played for the ceremony) you can use it during your reception dinner (provided you are in a private area).   We had our reception dinner at the Mexican Restaurant and it happened to be closed for the night.  They set up the sound system and we got to dance with the songs on my iPod!

Thank you Kerri.  We are having our wedding in the morning so I went with the Your Moments Package (which was complimentary) and I am adding on the extras, including the Sound System, photography, extra chairs, and hair and makeup.  We are having a reception lunch at the buffett with guests after the ceremony, with plans to meet up with everyone at the disco/sports bar later in the evening.  As of now, it looks like there will approximately 20 people attending.  Looking back, I would have done a few things differently, but I am going to make the best of it.  Some of my guests are spending a lot of money to be there for just a few days and I felt guilty tying up their vacation time with a bunch of "wedding stuff".  I think in the beginning I was trying to be too laid back, but now that it is getting closer, I want the fairy tale wedding day.  cheesy.gif

My in-laws actually upgraded our room to oceanfront before we arrived. When we got there we were upgraded to the "preferred" but since we had already upgraded to the oceanfront room we didn't stay on the preferred side. We had access to the preferred lounge and everything else the preferred guests get, our room just wasn't on the preferred side. I would assume if you booked a governors suite you would have the same thing happen. It seems that most couples getting married at the resort get the upgrade but if you want to the oceanfront or governors suite you have to book that yourself. If you book the governors suite on the regular side (not preferred) you will get the upgrade for preferred but your room will not be in the preferred building...does that make sense? :)
