Flying in a photographer from the US?

My fiance and I are getting married in Montego Bay in July 2012.  We're trying to find a great photographer, and have already considered most those who come highly recommended (Sungold, Saab, Merrick Cousley, Marsha Roberts, Sandy May, Brian Nejedly, etc.). 

 

We're now considering flying in a photographer from the US to photograph our wedding in Jamaica.  Has anyone done this?  How does the pricing work?  It seems like it would be ridiculously expensive.  If you've done this, can you recommend a US-based photographer?

I am from Canada and we are flying our photographer down with us. We arranged with our photographer to pay for the package and he is covering the flight and accomodations.

We are flying our photographer in. He is just getting started but does great work. We paid for his flight and accomodations and he gave us an amazing deal on the package.
