Love that email. So nicely put.
We're not doing a bridal party either. I've just heard too many stories about people suddenly unable to make the trip, etc. that we just decided to dominate the stage ourselves! :)

That is my philosophy regarding bridal parties. :)

I love this email. Thanks for sharing. For those brides with no bridal party, who do you have helped with keeping the guests organize?

Me too! I really wanted it to be just us, but FI was best man in his best friend's wedding last year and was super adamant about wanting his best friend standing next to him. So we're going to each have one. In addition to what others have said about not wanting friends to pay extra money for the bridal party attire, I just didn't want to have to make more decisions and pick out what that attire is going to be! Haha.

@Jello - love that quote ;)

We've decided not to do a bridal party either for many of the reasons you all already listed out.  Also, we have a lot of little cousins, nieces, and nephews in our family.  So, instead of asking friends & family to buy matching dresses, suits, etc. we've decided to have a bunch of little ring bearers and flower girls to walk down the aisle.  I'll still have my sis as my MOH and my fiance will have his best friend as BM.  Other than that, we're keeping it simple.  And honestly, I think my friends are grateful for it.

I asked a select few of my friends to be bridesmaids but it seems since my wedding is so far away, everyone is all over the place and living their lives, where I'll probably still end up doing most of my DIY projects with my mom and dress shopping with my mom and sister. So I kind of want to relieve them of the hassle and just have the flower girl, the ring bearer, my sister as MOH and my fiance's BM. Just don't know exactly how to break the news to them lol

For those that did not have a bridal party - what did you do with your bouquet when you needed to exchange the rings? I don't want a bridal party so there won't be anyone to hold it for me. I guess I could always give it to my mom/sisters who will be sitting in the front?
