Hello everyone!

I am not sure if any of the February brides are still on the site but could anyone let me know how their wedding went? Our wedding is May 7, 2013 at Braco and getting any answers or plans set is like pulling teeth.

Everyone keeps telling me that things will fall into place but I am so nervous!

Any info that could calm my worries would help!

Thanks ladies!

Just got back from our wedding at Braco.  You're right, communication was difficult through email, but once I got there, things were smooth.  The coordinators were fantastic and more than competent.  The wedding went off without a hitch, the resort was great and the food was fantastic.  I included some photos on my profile if you want to take a look.  Let me know if you've got any questions.

Ohhh beautiful pictures!! Congratulations!  Makes me feel a little bit better! Did you use the resort photographer? Cake was beautiful too! It is nice to see actual pics of everything. Thank you for posting, this is what I needed! Is there anything in particular I need to know, be prepared for etc? I noticed you had a reception on the beach, we are thinking of this also. So full of questions! Lol.

Thanks - we did use the resort photographer.  He was good, but my advice would be to show him the types of photographs you want if you have something in mind.  I wish I had have done that.  Nothing particularly important for you to know.  We wanted our own music to walk down the aisle to and for our first dances, so we brought a CD and that worked well.  We had a saxist play during the rest of the time.I tried to save money where I could and opted to make my own bouquet and the bridesmaids bouquets along with boutennieres, because every paying for all of the additional ones for all 5 girls and 6 guys would have been expensive.  I don't regret that choice at all because I got to include my own colours that way (that weren't as island-typical).  We did have the reception on the beach.  The guests said the appetizers were excellent.  It lasted about an hour to an hour and a half and we did our bride/groom photos during this time, then went and did speeches, first dances, cut the cake and then let off chinese wish lanterns that we brought with us.  Then we all went for dinner.  It was super smooth.  We weren't charged for all of our extra guests either (over 65) and I though for sure we would be since we had to feed them appetizers and an a-la-carte dinner.

Keep throwing questions my way and I will try to keep answering them
