You have to hide your wristband bhind your back though because they can tell if your suppose to be there based on your wrist band. If you are at the suites you can get married at the beach and go to the beach at any time. If you stay at the grand you have access to all 3 properties.

I hope that has answered your question

Thank you!! Yes it does :)

How easy was it to sneak in to the Suites?

Well we didn't do it we stayed at the grand the second week so it was alright for us to go there but the couple from our group who snuck in just hid their wrist bands in their pockets and acted like they belonged.  you just have to hide the wristand from anyone who works there and act like you belong apparently lol just don't expect to beable to get a drink and stuff

Alright so it depends on what you want. 1st of all the lazy river doesn't move very much. WE actually got stuck in a number of places and it was really annoying. The suites staircase is much nicer. The rooms are slightly nice and you get one extra al a cart. However it doesn't really matter that much at the beach resort if you go to an al a cart and they aren't full they will let you go again. Also there are ALOT more kids at the suites because of the play area for kids. WE liked being at the beach because it was a lot more younger people and it was a non stop party it was great.

I only know how the suites was because the second week we upgraded to the grand and one of our guest was staying at the suites and showedus their room. IT wasn't that much nicer than our rooms though.

Thanks for the input :)! We ended up going ahead and booking the Suites for our wedding location though... Totally get what you are saying, that the amenities are not THAT much better and there will be more kids - but both our siblings are bringing their kids, and so we want to ensure it's a great vacation for them, since it's costing them both the most to come out of any other guests.  That was a big deciding factor.  Plus I like that we will have more of a variety being at the Suites, in that we can bounce between the Beach and Suites freely :).

I keep hearing people talk about a Rehearsal dinner/Welcome Dinner?
I was wondering if any one has done one? And how much are the cost? If any?

And what did most people do after your dinner if you didn't opt for the private reception and Dj? No one wants the party to end at 8:30pm!

Any feedback is grealty appreciated!

I did the rehearsal/welcome dinner. It is included at no additional cost, but they say that it will count towards one of your allocated a la carte dinners for the time you are there. We held ours the day before the ceremony. About half of our group participated in the ceremony walk through (the other half hung out at the bar during that time) then we all met for dinner at the Japanese restaurant. It was really fun! We had a smaller group of 15 people, so we were all able to sit at the same table.

We also had the non-private dinner. A lot of our guests were older, so no one was going to be partying the night away. We had been spending our evenings in the lobby bar, so we all went back there and moved the tables & chairs together for our group. Then we just hung out and had some drinks. It was really nice and laid back, which is what I wanted. We were having an at-home reception where we would have a DJ and dancing, so I didn't feel like I missed out on anything that evening.

Hi Albellis

Did you have to reserve early for the rehearsal/welcome dinner? Or did you do that upon your arrival?

Any dissapointments with the Japanese restaurant?

Thanks for your help!

There was a section on the Final Details sheet to enter the location, date, time, and # of people for the rehearsal dinner, so I just marked it there when I sent in the form. I was given the form about 10 months in advance (I was asking about plans that were all listed on that form, so I think the WC just figured it was easy to send the form for me to take a look at) so I sent it in then (with my best guess on numbers), and resent it with any updates about a month before my wedding.

I loved the Japanese restaurant. It was a fun dinner for our group, and the food was good. The cook was very entertaining. I thought it was a good contrast to the more formal dinner that we were going to have the following night for the wedding.  Our group was smaller, only 15 of us total, so we could all fit at one table. Here are some pictures.
