Now Sapphire Legal Ceremony Requirements?

Hi!

We are very interested in having our wedding at the Now Sapphire Riviera Maya, but are very concerned about the legal ceremony requirements.

 

The wedding guide online quotes that the bride and groom and FOUR additional guests must all stay at the hotel a full week before we can be legally married.

 

Does anyone have any experience with a legal ceremony, and how was it handled?

 

Other resorts do not have a stay requirement for witnesses, or such a long stay for the bride and groom.  Any Suggestions?

Hi , Yes your witnesses should be with you because  they must sign the papers in advance and on the wedding day.

They will be requested of their passports and tourist card...If you cant travel with your witnesses the resort can provide you witnesses.

 

All witnesses should be over 18 ...their signature is very important.

Thank you Sandy.  The part about the resort "providing" us with witnesses helps a lot.

Well , Yes I said "provide" but they charge you 20 usd per witness...but it has been helpful with many couples in the past
