Playa del Secreto

I'm wondering about Playa del Secreto / Casa del Secreto / Hacienda del Secreto in Puertos Morales - they seem to maybe be able to accommodate around 100 guests, I'm just not sure how complicated it is to organize the accommodations and everything. Is anyone getting married there or has anyone already been married there, with a large wedding party?

Hello!

To hold a wedding will be nice to rent a private villa in Playa del Secreto but if you want to host 100 people you will have to book several villas (I m sorry i do not know if i get your wueation).

 

So, i suggest to hold the wedding at a villa and stay there with you closest friends and family and suggest all your guests to stay at The Iberostar Playa Paraiso (AI), El Dorado (AI), Mayan Paalace (time share) or all can stay in the Hotel El Cid which is in Puerto Morelos all of them 10 minutes away from Playa del Secreto!!

I'm trying to get more information about Hacienda del Secreto... but it seems that we are the only two that have been interested in this spot. I know this is an old thread but has anyone gotten any more information on these villas?

Playa Secreto is a perfect location for a quiet Caribbean getaway. Here, you

airport is the Cancun Airport, which is app. 20 minutes from Playa Secreto.

Playa Del Carmen is app. 15 minutes away and is the latest hot spot of the

and much more. You can catch the ferry in Playa Del Carmen to spend the day

away. Puerto Morelos has some great restaurants and a small grocery store.

Although, at this time we are experiencing a phenomenon that only Mother

Nature can remedy. Ten Years ago Playa Secreto experienced a beach erosion

that took many months to recover to the beautiful white sand paradise that

our guest have enjoyed for many years. A few months ago the winter currents

changed our shoreline as it did back in 1997. From our 12 years of

experience with the changes of the beach from week to week, we are looking

forward to the summer currents to bring our beach back in front of our

villas. Until then, we feel we need to let our guest know that the photos of

the beach on our websites do not represent the actual appearances of the

beach. We recently added a photo to our website that will give you an

accurate view of our existing beach and be assured that we will keep you

updated on the beach improvements as the summer currents bring back the

beach. Within 100yds of our villas, the beach of Playa Secreto is still

beautiful and can be enjoyed by our beach lovers. Next to our villas we have

a sandy beach lot available to our guests, with lounge chairs, umbrellas,

Villa's are reserved from a Fri. to Fri. or a Sat. to Sat., unless we have

last minute availability. There is an additional charge for a mid-week

I know this is an old thread, but I'm bumping it to see if anyone has been married here recently. It looks like it's $7,500 to rent it for the wedding! Is this true?

I haven't ever worked with the Hacienda del Secreto, but there is one just down the way that is only $3,300 USD called Secret Jewel to rent for the wedding day. They also have villas for rent by the week too, if you are interested in accommodations.

I am renting a private villa in Playa del Secreto for the week of my wedding. We are having the wedding party and parents stay with us and guests are staying in Cancun or Playa del Carmen. I love the idea of having less restrictions than at the major hotels and now we can host our ceremony on a private beach with the reception pool side.

Has anyone been married there? I am looking for a spot and am so overwhelmed.  I like the idea of having your own place and not dealing with the hotel. But I might have a lot of guests so hotel might be better.

I've done weddings at Playa Secreto and other locations that have had up to 100 guests and everything has gona well.  A large majority of the guests tend to stay at the same place as the bride & groom, and then the others stay nearby.  Transportation is fairly easy to arrange and you just have one central meeting point for the pick.  Usually the hotel with the most guests.
