Newbie, Moon Palace 2013

I had a self united wedding . That means that you file for that then they send you then paperwork and get two people to sign it send it back and you are married. I do not know if they do that in every state. It is called a self uniting marriage license. That way we did not have a ceremony but are still legally married. This is perfect because we are having a destination wedding. Our wedding date to us will be the date of the symbolic wedding in Mexico.

I just contracted my wedding for August 16th, 2014. I know we have a while to go but I was wondering if anyone's been down to cancun in August. Obviously I know it'll be hot but we live in Southern California so we are used to the heat!

Hi Vanessa!  I am getting married on Monday, June 17th - which is during your stay!  Not sure where you are planning to say your vows, but we will be in the Tucan Gazebo if you want to check out a set up that day (although I am sure there will be plenty of other weddings over the weekend).  PM me if you would like to meet up on the resort!

Hey ladies! I have a quick question for the ladies that have already had their weddings at the MP. I am planning on sending a box of stuff from the states through Fedex to the resort with our decorations. I really don't want to pay those ridiculous baggage fees to take them down! I know...I know...I'm cheap.  

 

Has anyone else done that? How does it work? Will they hold it for you if you send it in advance?

I would contact your WC- I don't think they allow this to be done.  You will probably have a hard time getting the box through customs.

My WC said this is fine, but you would have to put her name on it and I believe there was a recommended time frame of shipping (I just cant recall what it was).  I however decided not to ship due to customs.  If there is 1 item they do not like, the entire box is getting returned to you.    I did not like the idea of how long it takes and the possibility of it not arriving or arriving but damaged.  The WC will not check the package when it arrives, you must be there.  We instead paid the exorborant luggage fees but also borrowed old luggage from our parents that we left there so we did not have to pay for them going home.

Hello ladies,does any of the brides already married at moon palace have any pictures of their flowers that were done by the hotel and not an outside vendor?their bouquet and boutonnière?thanks Tara x

Hi- here is the bouquet included in the complimentary package- I did not end up using as I had Marvin make my flowers- so it was my back-up bouquet just in case!! But they were pretty and simple and also the bout for my husband that was also included.
