Newbie, Moon Palace 2013

I have today received a letter from our agent to say that there is construction happening at The Grand - Moon. This is where we are staying. I am so angry that we have been informed less that a week from travel. Does anyone know how bad the construction is?

What?? I am staying there too and leave next week.  I was not even informed by anyone.

I got a letter today from Thomas cook - I have emailed the resort - no reply yet - I want to know how much construction. I can't help worrying - it is not good to receive a letter 5 days before travel when we have spent thousands of pounds! Not happy, I'll keep you posted on any developments. The resort is huge so hopefully we can be accomodated in another area if too bad x

Does anyone know what locations there are to hold the wedding in? I know there's the beach and various gazebos, but I've seen a photo of a location what looks like a roof top location with wooden benches surrounded by glass walls and there is a stone cross in the middle of the path leading to it. Does anyone know if this location is at moon palace or is it another resort? I'm so sorry to hear about your construction stress ladies, I really hope you get a reply soon to settle your fears. But just remember your marrying the man of your dreams and you will look beautiful. I'm sure u will have a truly amazing time xxx

Hi Kelly - sorry to disappoint - this is not moon palace - moon palace have some lovely locations though. There are various gazebos available throughout the resort. You can see some of them if you look on place resorts website and go through to the wedding pages. Trip advisor have some good pictures too. I typed in gazebos at moon palace into search engine and quite a few come up and check out U tube you can watch some actual weddings x

Thank you Sam. Gutted I really liked that location to. Do u know how much the hotel charges to have an outside photographer in at all? I've seen some amazing photos from a photographer and would love them to take my photos but I'm unsure if I have to pay for day passes or a night stay ??? Xxxx

The moon palace is so big, so I have no doubt you'll be able to be situated away from the construction site. Did they say where the construction is going to be? X

Hi Kelly - unsure about photographer charge for outside vendor - we are using ocean studio which are moon palaces preferred vendor. I have been in much contact with Adrianna and she is lovely. Very helpful. She has even arranged to meet with me before the wedding day which is great.
