Hi Ladies,

 

This is my first time writing a post on this site so I am a proper Newbie!!

 

My fiance asked me to Marry him on Tuesday this week whilst we were visiting New York and now we are home, we are looking to get married at the Moon Palace in 2013. Its very early days yet but I have already got in touch with 'Thomson - Tailormade' on line but as its a Sunday, I wont hear back till mid-week about costs, etc.

 

I am a little cautious about getting excited yet as I searched the web all last night and it looks as though the Moon Palace is extremely popular and October 2013 looks to be getting booked up quickly (congrats though to all those who have booked already). 

What I'd really like to know is if you left it to the travel agent to organise everything for you or did you contact the hotel direct to try and book your date - or did you do both??? (bare in mind im from the UK)

 

Any tips or words of advice for a very anxious bride would be much appreciated.

Hi congratulations I left it to the travel agent within two weeks they send you moon palace paper work and info regarding paper work. And I think it's 91 days or so before the wedding someone from the moon palace is ment to contact you regarding fine details. Hope this helps Claire x

From the reviews ive read on here, the planning does all seem very last minute......SCARY!! I hope its worth it x

Hello and Congrats!!!!! I have also left all of the planning to my travel agent. I would rather have her deal with the Moon Palace end of things like booking and reservations and I will do all the fun things like DIYing!! So far it has been very stress free! (although my travel agent has told me that Moon Palace has not been the easiest to deal with and you do have to be VERY persistant with them in order to get answers right away!)

 

When I first got engaged I spent a week just looking at what felt like EVERY resort possible in Mexico! And even though the communication is not the best with the wedding department at Moon Palace, almost every bride has stated that once they finally got to the resort their wedding was exactly what they dreamed of!! Not to mention the resort is gorgeous, huge, and the prices are good!!

 

Good luck to you with the planning process and fingers crossed that you get your date that you want in October!!

Hi All, 

 

We just booked for MP beach wedding 4/13/13.  Can't wait.  The pictures look amazing!  We are sending in our deposit early next week.  We are a little weary- as after speaking with Kalena yesterday- she mentioned that our "deposit" is our entire stay (10 days!) for the groom and I that is to be wire transferred- no use of credit card available.  Has anyone else ran into this.  Seems a bit weird to us...

I havent heard of that. I booked my wedding (which was also our entire stay) with MP back in February and used my credit card and then I booked my honeymoon with Sun Palace about a month ago and used my credit card for that as well.

I just paid for my entire wedding (set to take place in december) on my credit card. So I would say thats false!  But I will tell you to be careful and make sure you look at your statements frequently bc other brides have had misc. charges on there c/cs from MP!
