Did you or do you plan on taking maternity photos?  I'm the kind of person that hides when I see a camera come out so what I've learned is that if I plan to do a session with a photographer who I trust to make me look good, then I really don't need to worry about the fact that I hide from the camera the rest of the time!  We had our maternity photos done on Sunday and so far I'm loving what she has shared with us.  Here are a few teasers that were shared with me so far:

I know mine are only a week old, but I am so glad I did them too.  I remember kinda thinking "no way in hell!" about boudoir and being on here and seeing everyone's really grew on me and I've never regretted it since.  That had opened my eyes to how important pictures really are and I know that I will always be glad to have memorialized my pregnancy and by a professional!

Matt tried to talk me out of it (of course) and I was insistent.  He kept saying things like, we have pics of you pregnant!  But I hide from the camera so much that there are literally only a few pictures from Christmas day and I'm generally in the background and my pregnancy isn't the main event.  I'm so so so happy I did them.

And YES!  Please share yours!

Love your pics Carly!  I'm actually just starting to think about maternity and newborn pics now.  I'm reading on most photography websites that they recommend to do them between 32-36 weeks.  This will be challenging for me considering my baby may be born by then lol.  But I really would love to do them even if i'm not the cutest preg person around like you are.

Oh I certainly don't think I'm the cutest, but I did love taking them.  Well, maybe not taking them, but the end result after weeding out the bad ones.  I just made my photo book this morning and I'm so excited to have it to chronicle the journey.  My photog says she usually suggests women get them taken in the 7th or 8th month b/c by then you have a pronounced baby bump, but you still look mostly like yourself. Like any 3rd tri swelling hasn't started yet and your face look mostly the same.  So given your circumstances, I would def look into it but just do them early!  I was in my 29-30th week, I think.

That's another reason I felt I had to, b/c I sucked at taking the progression shots!  I forget more then I remember and mostly I take them in the cats room where it's a hot mess and I can't show those pics to anyone!

I'm not much of a scrapbooker either, but I do love to look at photos and I always have intentions of doing stuff with them.  Surprisingly, I ordered a maternity photobook this past weekend.  But ask me where my wedding photobooks are....  Or photographs for that matter!  We don't have any printed.
