sort of.  i heard back from Nayeli who told me that Alex was the new WC.  I emailed him with a ton of questions and havent heard yet.  Im just trying to sit back and be patient since i know I have a lot of time.  I heard they have a lot of april/may weddings there this year so they are probably a little swamped.  Im a little bummed I might not be able to participate in the webinar anymore.  I have to go out of town and I might be in the car when it happens.  im trying to find out if I can watch the webinar after its LIVE just to see what they have to say.

Hi everyone! After several weeks of using doing lots of research on this site and finding it extremely helpful and informative, I decided to join and become official. I just found The Beloved today and was disappointed at how little info their site had, so I came here and noticed the weird coincidence that there's a webinar about them tomorrow. I signed up and hope I can join, but may not have internet access at that time so I wanted to post my newbie questions here in case other people are also in the beginning stages and want to know the same things.

 

*Do they offer any other package other than the starter one showing on their site (starts at 850 or is also free is you book 5 or more rooms?

*What is the cost of reception options? Are there private and semi-private options?

*Do they have a price list of al la carte items?

*Do they allow you to use your own photographer? If so, is there a change or minimum stay requirement?

*Do they have pictures of the venues used for ceremonies and receptions?

*Is there any decor included as standard in either the ceremony or reception? I assume you are allowed to bring your own decor, favors, etc but can this be verified?

*How many weddings per day do they do?

*What is their rain or bad weather policy and up until when can that decision be made?

 

Hopefully it will be very informative and I'll be able to connect. I look forward to seeing some answers tomorrow...hopefully : )

Clee were you able to find any other information about photographers that the hotel allows? Im starting to rethink using the photographer through the hotel but all this looking around is making my head spin. Im also not opposed to using the hotel photographer but haven't been able to find any reviews on them, which I dont like.  Any help on photographers would be very much appreciated.

I"m happy to see that there are some Brides out there talking about the Beloved Hotel. My wedding isn't until Nov. 3rd, but I was wondering what the deal was when I got an email response from Alejandro and not Daniela. I'm glad you all confirmed that he is the new WC. I have a ton of information on packages and prices that I got from Daniela. I was wondering what type of ceremony you all were doing?  We are doing civil but want to have the symbolic touch to it, so I was looking into officiants/ministers online. I haven't asked the WC if they have one on staff already, but do any of you know?

Hello Ladies!!!  I had the pleasure  to meet  with the wedding staff at the Beloved!  It is very pretty property and intimate since it is only 109 rooms , Please find below an small report or feedback of  my visit  this week . Feel free to contact  me if  you have any questions , I visited  this because  a clients are getting married there in December!

 

 

The resort is located about 30 minutes from the airport , They have a very private entrance you can feel the exclusivity.   The Beloved and Excellence Playa Mujeres are next each other walking distance of maximum 5 minutes , the ambience at the Beloved is very peaceful and relaxing , the Lobby area , , front desk and Concierge are all together , the staff was very friendly and attentive , all the guest get a welcome drink as they arrive .I met Alejandro one of the wedding coordinators there.   The resort is only 109 rooms , they have this area called Casitas where you can find 4 rooms together , that would be very nice for a wedding group I think because you can keep close each other. Unfortunately they didnt show me any of those because they were not available   They have pools all around the buildings and the Beach area is very clean , I like the fact that the first floor room have access directly from the rooms to the pool, the have a very spacious Balcony with 2 louge chairs and one very comfortable "pool bed" all that in the balcony.   For the restaurant part , they only ofer 3 options , Seafood , Mexican and Mediterranean.They open all for dinner . Isla Grill serve breakfats directly on the beach under a beautiful Palapa that could be used for wedding reception at night.   The entertaiment is limited since it is a family resort focused in relaxation , they only have live music in certain areas of the resort in different times of the day , I could see a band playing live music at the Lupita Lounge (sushibar). It was nice .   In the pool there is large pool Bar and I could see people having fun there, there is background music in the area.   Wedding Locations: They have basically 3 wedding locations for ceremony on the Beach , under the Palapa ocean front , or the Lupita Hall (no ocean front )   For the Receptions and Cocktails they have :   1. Lupita Lounge (cocktails & hor douvres) Semi Private 2.Aroma Terrace (Cocktail and Reception & Dancing)Privately 3.Palapa on the Beach (Reception & Dancing)Privately 4.Restaurants could be used Non Private under resevation only for dinner. 5. Pool Terrace (by the Isla Grill )     My Recomendation: Ceremony : On the Beach Cocktails : On the Beach Dinner : Palapa on The Beach(a) or Aroma Terrace(   They allow maximum 3 weddings per day , but He told me that The Beloved is amaller than the others resorts so usually there is one per day.   Vendor Fee: They have an in house photography service called Juan Carlos Lancelot , if you would like to bring you own phtographer there are two options:   a. The photographer could stay in the resort (1 night) to be part of the group or He can pay the vendor fee of $500 usd (per person) , I suggest definetely pay 1 night .   b. The same policy apply for other vendors .   Pricing & Wedding Packages :   The Beloved only handle one wedding package that cost 850 usd and basically includes the ceremony for 10 ppl , a basic wedding cake and a toast for 10 ppl as well , you can add whatever you want to that package.   The reception cost $45 usd plus tax and gratuty that give us : 57usd that includes: 1 hour of cocktails hour , 3 hours of dinner reception.(basic set up included and no music)   Only cocktail hour : $16 usd plus tax and gratuity , 2 hrs cocktails and hour douvres   Day Passes: $80 usd per day per person.   In Genral this is the information that I got ,I have pictures too...let me see how I can share it with yopu!

Thanks for all the information. I was previously told the in house photographer was vipphotos, so now im really confused. I just emailed alex to confirm. Hi danielle my wedding will be at the beloved in december so pretty close to you. Did you make a decision on photography yet? I have lots of emails out right now for quotes. The webinar was ok. It was nice to get some answers right away considering it takes a lifetime to get a question answered from the wc over email. Well also be doing a symbolic ceremony but we are having a rabbi perform it for us who is coming to our wedding as a guest.
