Dress and Veil color dilemma! Help!

Hi ladies,

 

I'm feeling a bit panicked right now. My dress is an off white/diamond white and is gorgeous. Unfortunately, it still isn't in and I was afraid that I would run out of time so I went ahead and bought a veil. My bridal consultant insisted I purchase an ivory veil because a white veil will obviously be very white in comparison to my dress. It's a lace trimmed fingertip veil and after seeing many photos of previous brides, I'm afraid that the color difference will be noticeable! Has anyone purchased or worn an off white dress and ivory veil? Do you have pics? Am I worrying for no reason?! I am feeling a bit crazy right now! Help!

Off white is darker than diamond white. It is better to wear a veil lighter in shade than darker if it doesn't match the color of your wedding dress exactly. I have personally seen white veil with darker shade dresses and it looks gorgeous. I personally would not match the veil to my dress unless it the color is really exceptional. White veil with any color wedding dress as long as it is close to white or has a combination color with white/off-white. There is a reason you feel uncomfortable, go with your gut. Go white! I make veils and assist in wedding color coordinations and programs.
