Wedding Banner

I was originally going to use Maye's huppah but then saw this on the knot which I thought was pretty cool! (and it's in our wedding colors)

 

So, if I made the banner how the heck do I get the monogram on it? It looks like the couple in this pic painted it on but I have no idea how to do it! I found some dupioni silk that is this orange color but I need to figure out if I need to have it stitched on or painted. Any artists out here?!
