Any January/February Punta Cana Brides?

Hello!

 

I am planning to get married Feb 15 2013 at the Jellyfish restaurant. We chose the Jellyfish for the beautiful location, good food and flexibility to do anything we want. No time restrictions. We are planning to have anywhere from 70-100 guests. 

We hope to stay at the Hardrock resort. It seems perfect for a large fun group. It will all depend on the prices. I have also been looking at Majestic Elegance, The dreams resort, Riu Palace and many more. 

 

Where are you planning to have your wedding?

 

 

Happy planning! I know That I can hardly sleep because I can not stop researching.

Yeah, the Hard Rock is at the top of my list. I think it is because of the night life. Man other resorts just do not have that kind of night life and we are a younger group coming in. I will probablye have 30-40 ppl but will probably stay on the resort, I just do not know where any of the parties will be since I have not made a choice yet. I also am looking into the Majestic Elegance resort, Ocean Bue, and Secrets. I did not like the Dreams resorts, for one they are small, and with such a large group I want people to be able to hang around with eachother but also be able to do their own thing. And in DR you really do not want to leave the resort, except with an excursion company through the hotel. SO CONFUSED! I never knew choosing the resort would be the hardest thing to do....I have to make a decision though since I chose January of next year....

We are getting married January 23, 2013 at the Majestic Colonial  

Only have 25 Deposits in already but expecting up to 60 guests..

We got our save the date magnets out at xmas so people would know to expect an invitation soon and the booking wouldnt be far off..  We sent out our invitations last week ( I made boarding pass invites ) and now the booking has begun   I have a feeling I'm going to become a huge DIY Bride after reading the many great ideas on this site LOL  Now that I've finished my invites I don't know what to do with myself LOL

What's everyone else been up to?

I am planning on Janaury 25th 2013, just waiting on the pricing from my TA.

What made you chose the Majestic Colonial? After sitting down with my TA my resort choices have changed. LOL. They keep changing!

I also want to do the boarding pass invitations but will not be sending those out until the flights prices are out, which for January will not be until Mid-March. Were the boarding passes easy to make??

 

I love the DIY aspect that everyone on here has done, what do you have planned to do?

Hi Jan/Feb 2013 brides:

We want to get married on Feb.10 2013 (its the day we met) but I have no idea where to start and the travel agents are less then helpful.  If there are any brides from Canada I live near Toronto that have any advice this bride will listen will open ears.  I like almost every resort that I look at. need to start planning so that I get the day I want HELP

WELCOME!! I say browse through this website. You will find so many helpful people and so much helpful information. I am still in the stages of picking a hotel (that is the HARDEST part!!! lol) but this website has helped me more than any TA or travel website. Hello Ladies!!!

 

My fiance and I are going to Punta Cana Dominican Republic for our destination wedding.  We will be arriving January 2nd and leaving to go back home on January 9th. 

 

I would love to see if anyone else will be there around that same time!

 

We will be staying at the Iberostar Punta Cana!
