Lol the hotel has not asked me for this only guest list.

Even if you have to distinguish meals, if you are against a seating chart I think you could work around it. you could have a sign with escort cards and say something like "Please sit where you like but leave this card at your seat to indicate your meal choice for the wait staff". Except I'm you sure you could word it better... Seating charts are not required

We had a wedding program that outlined the details of the events in a fun and informal way. We mentioned there that people just had to take their place cards and bring it with them to their seating of choice. They will read this program while they are waiting around at the ceremony location beforehand.

Just an FYI - you cannot choose to skip the $5 a head "champagne toast" fee. I tried to, considering I'm paying $10 per person for a cocktail hour that has not cocktails, but champagne, and champagne is on the open bar menu. I know it's a small fee but it's just another way that we've felt tricked in this process. Anyway, I wanted to make you guys aware. My WC told me it was mandatory and to think of it as a fee for people setting up our tables and chairs... umm what? That's a service fee... why are you calling it a champagne toast?

Ugh... can't wait to work with my onsite coordinator... Hopefully she is better than Claudy...

/end rant.

I swear they keep messing with me too on this exact thing! And they're charging me $20/person over 20 guests for the ceremony which I THOUGHT covered the champagne toast so I didn't say anything about that being outrageous...then I thought the cocktail hour was $10 and was open bar plus 3 cold appetizers. I've now been told that only covers champagne and 3 appetizers and if I want open bar it's $15 per person...UMMMMM...there are so many things greedy and wrong with this!! What the heck is the $20/person "ceremony" fee for?? Unfolding a chair?? And why at an all inclusive should we be paying extra for open bar instead of just champagne! SOOOO irritated and my final checklist is due in about 24 hours.

I know how you guys feel! Dealing with this resort has been challenging and irritating, at best. I finally made our final payment (was waiting on Claudy to fix the issues with the bill), so hopefully I get my onsite coordinator (Elizabeth Sotelo) soon. And today is our legal day! Exciting! We decided it will be myself, my fiancé, and my son. :)
