The only thing that has changed for 2013 is the bonfire (now $350) and mango walk disco rental (now $450) all the other "extras" prices are the same ... if you booked your date already than the wedding package is still the same price, for anyone who booked after 12/12 has a whole new package and pricing.

I've also asked a few times since September for the new pricing to no avail.  This is great info, I was hoping open bar didn't increase since that is a must, thanks for letting us know sfox!

Hello everyone, Trying to decide which resort we should settle on but had some questions for you all... I was wondering about getting married in Jamaica is it legal when we return to the US? How long does it take the marriage license to be received to us in the US? Didn't want to get married here first and then go to Jamaica cause what would be our anniversary date? Just some questions I thought I might ask thanks ladies

Does anyone know what time the beach party at Beach starts on Thurs night, how long it lasts & what all they do? I am getting married on a Thurs & I am trying to decide if I will have a cocktail party on the beach, bonfire party on the beach or just join in on the Beaches party. Thoughts/ideas? I've heard some brides say the bonfire isn't worth it because they set it up far away from where the tables & partying area is.
We were going to do a beach open bar for our guest on a Saturday night but since we were just after NYE they switched the beach party to the Saturday as the suites hosts the NYE party. We opted to take part in the beach party and than around 10 pm our guests went down the beach and lit off wish laterns. It was a fun night, party starts around 8pm with dancing on the beach and than the fire dancer. They have the pool bar open. I think the bar shut down around 11pm so I'd save your money and join in the fun for free!! :)

hi all - i've got a few questions and would love some help!

1. i contacted rashel edwards for hair/makeup and she is booked but says she has "a second team available"... has any past brides worked with this 2nd team, can attest to their quality compared to that of rashel? i don't want to spend all the money if they're not as good!

2. has anyone used the salon for both hair and makeup, and were you happy with it?

3. any recent problems in being able to hang your own lighting/decorations in aunt ruby's for the reception? i hate how bright it is with the set lighting.

4. if you hire DJ kevan, he will do more than just play your own Ipod, correct? thats what i read in past reviews and it seems so silly to pay all that money for that.

5. How far in advance are you sending out the formal invitations from the actual wedding date.

thanks ladies!!

We're getting married in the US first... just because my fiance is in the Air Force and we are going to need our marriage license ASAP so that I am able to get an ID, get under his insurance, live on base, etc. I've heard the licenses can take 3-6 months to get back to the US and we just can't risk it. We're going to go to the courthouse with his parents as our witnesses and have it be very straight to the point. I don't want anything special read because I don't want it to feel like we're already married. We're going to have the date we get "married" in Jamaica be our anniversary date, since that's when we'll be doing the ceremony and celebrating and what not! It feels kinda disappointing, but oh well. Not much else we can do in the situation! If he wasn't in the military, we would probably do the official marriage down in Jamaica. But, you've gotta do what you've gotta do. :) Hope that helps!

Wow.. really ? They have not contacted you yet even to fill out the final details form?

You may want to try contacting them maybe?

I assumed that by the one month mark you would hear...

I know I'm waiting to do a bunch of things (seating plan, ordering some things) until I get the details figured out.. and I can't wait until a few days before!!

That's ridiculous.. Anyways.. I hope they contact you SOON!
