       im so pleased to of found you all..im too getting married at moon palace on the 25th feb 2013 we to booked throught thomas cook and im in the same boat as they dont tell you alot.

       i have 70 nights booked with more looking to ad onto our booking but we didnt all book together so im hoping i qualify for the upgrades ,my TA says shes cross referencing all booking with mine so fingers crossed that counts ..

I have 36 days left and been passed to daniela Lara the onsite wedding co ordinator she is not as efficient as our Beatriz. She has only half the stuff confirmed that I organised with Beatriz. Hi everyone. This is my first post! I'm a uk bride looking to book with Thomas cook to moon palace for beg. Of march 2013. I see that Thomas cook are not the best with communication! How have you found dealing with Thomas cook? Also I've tried to contact weddings dept. in Miami like 4 times over past 4 months, with no reply!! How soon after booking your travel dates have you managed to speak to someone from the moon palace weddings dept.? I really want to know more info from their end.. Was wondering what you girls are doing with your wedding dress are you taking it on board as hand luggage? or putting it under with all cases? x

Hi ladies, We have recently booked up to get married at the royal cancan which will be held on the 22nd of October 12. Before hand we carried out a lot of research before booking and a common theme was poor communication between travel agent and the couple to marry. We booked our holiday to cancun with first choice and booked the actual wedding with the hotel directly. Once we paid a small deposit we were appointed with our on site WC who we have had great communications with. This way we cut out the middle man as sometimes I only think that these travel agents only care about your money and not about your requirements for your big date!!! Scott

Hi Kerry,

Who have you booked with?  I have booked with Thomas Cook and then won't allow you to take your dress on as hand luggage :-(  So if it's not TC maybe worth giving them a call.

I'm getting married at the moon palace 19Th Oct 2012. I can not wait....

 

i booked the sapphire pactage. there is 21 of us traveling for two weeks.

I have two things i really cant decide on. private function or not? and decor? i been reading the moon palace 2012 brides thread which is great but its leaving me SO confused. i feel after reading it that i should be bringing 3 suitcases full of oot bags and decor. there is alot of American brides on there and I'm wondering if I'm looking to much into it. what are u girls planning? are you bringing anything with. Also we have enough nights for unlimited functions. (our guests didn't book together but asked virgin to link them, some of our guests booked months apart) but I'm not sure there is enough of us and also the cost of decorating it and music. the other option is the restaurant then the nightclub but we have 7 children 5 of them under 4. does anyone know if the moon palace let the kids in the club. any ideas or other people planning would be greatly appreciated

The dimensions of TC's hand luggage is really small.  It works out about the size of a kids trunkie if you have seen one of those.  My dress will definately not fit it one, I am in a bit of a panic about putting my dress in the hold but I have tried everything with them but they are not budging :-(.  I went to a wedding in Cuba last year and my friend put her dress in the hold and was fine but still a bit scary letting the dress out of your sight.  How big is your dress?
