I am happy to say we have booked the date, and will be getting married April 9th/2013 at 4pm we also decided to go with the gazebo ceremony and 6pm reception at the blue lagoon. We are in the process of deciding on our photographer, we have decided to do a "trash the dress" the following day. Anybody else up to take the plunge? :)

Amanda when you were at the resort a few years ago did you by any chance try the steak? I am picking out our meal options for the invitations and I really really would love to have the Filet Mignon but I am also a little nervous as I am unsure of how the food quality is at the resort.

Hi!  Yes, I would definitely recommend the filet.  Out of all of the all inclusives my FI and I have been too, the food at this one was by far the best.  I wouldnt hesitate to order that for your guests, and even have it rare.  The meat is just like meat you would get back home.  We enjoyed the steak at the Creole and Bubba's restuarants, and we love our steak and are pretty picky!  Congrats on booking your wedding!

I'm not sure if anyone has answered this but I was also wondering if the resort provided any decoractions (centerpieces, menus, place cards, etc.) for the private reception? Is this an additional charge I need to take into consideration besides the $45 per person? THANKS!

Eeeek!

Booked for Saturday 6 April @ 2pm on the beach.  Haven't booked the reception yet!

Need to sort this out.  Who is your contact at the resort as I understand that a few people have left recently.

How far have you got with your plans.  I've been soo disorganised of latewacko.gif

I was working with Ms. Carianne, but she left.  I am now working with Ms. Shaniece Morris and she is very responsive.  We are not doing a reception.  We are getting married Friday so we will all just go to the beach bb-que after for dinner. Nice and informal.

Hi Sarah,

The beach bbq is only on friday nights. It is actually at the pool, on the sand volleyball court.  It is really nice and they have live music.  It is a buffet and the whole resort is there, but you can ask them to reserve an area of tables for the group.  I had a hard time paying $45 pp at an all inclusive resort!  When my FI were at the Grand Palladium this March, we loved the bbq and the atmosphere.  I have heard that you can do a bbq privately, but the prices start at $55 pp.  Hope that helps :)

I just returned today.  I got married June 19 and we stayed on the LH side and some of my guests stayed on the LH side and others on the GP side (referred to as the Jamaica side).  I didn't see any difference.  They even let some of the guests change from the GP side to the LH side got be closer to us.  WE loved it, all my guests were happy and we had no major complaints.  There were a couple of things that were not 100% for everyone, but what place is???  My wedding was all that I could have hoped for and my wedding coordinator went out of her way to make sure we were happy.   A full review is coming soon.
