Anyone look into planning any group excursions??

I really want to put together a welcome pamphlet for our guests...with some excursion info and activities and interesting facs about Jamaica.

Not doing OOT bags though ... i've talked to a lot of people who've attended DW's and they said its a nice gesture but a complete waste of money.. and they didnt use half the stuff because they either brought it themselves or didnt need it. I like the idea of a gift though so i dont know... we might do a small/cheaper excursion instead as a way to thank everyone.

I wish i could ahve found a good deal on those mini Bubba mugs... but then thats a lot to pack. So i'm not sure yet what im going to do... not really having much luck finding a good excursion company that deals specifically with grand palladium. Most say "from montego bay" or "negril" but we're kind of right smack in the middle... so im confused! lol

Sorry I dont think u can get around the vendor fee..unless u book them as part of your group. im booking hair and makepu thru resort spa ... i couldnt justify the extra cost and hassle of using outside vendors. Maybe try adding them to your group list.. maybe they can just pay for a "day pass" instead of the ridiculous vendor fee!!!

My wedding is May 11, 2012.  I'm using an outside photographer, dj, and make-up artist.  We're having to pay the $300 vendor fee for the photographer and the dj.  For make-up/hair we're just having to pay for a day pass.

Thank you for checking queena427!  I hope the resort is big enough that even if there is some construction going on that it won't be too intrusive.

We went through destinationweddings.com.  The travel part of this whole process has been stress free!

Hi ladies-  I will tell my planners what you've said about the construction. THey havent got any info out of the resort yet - but I will update you when they do. Thanks for sharing your info on this subject.

I also wanted to share my news with you guys...

My fiancé (Bill) and I just made it as finalists for a contest I entered months ago…. The Kleinfeld Experience Contest!  Itâ€s a chance for us to win a trip to NYC and a $5000 shopping spree to Kleinfeldâ€s  (the store from SAY YES TO THE DRESS)!  Winning this contest would be a dream come true, literally, as I have always pictured myself buying a dress at Kleinfelds with my mother, sisters and step daughter by my side!!

I was hoping if you had a couple minutes each day â€“ that maybe you could help us win by casting your vote online!

If so, please use this link below to login & vote!!

The first time you click on vote, you will need to register yourself (email & a password) takes 2 seconds.  They will send you a verification email after that, which you need to click on so they know you aren't a robot/spam!!  It may take a little while to get that email or it may come right away (check your junk mailbox too!).   But after that, you can simply login & vote once a day, per email address!

Please note: Hotmail, MSN, sympatico based email accounts havent been receiving their Verification emails yet. Please consider voting with a Yahoo or Gmail account instead.  J

Thanks so much for your support!!  Here is the link... feel free to share it with friends!!  Maybe you could put a little reoccurring note in your calendar to remind you to vote daily?  Then I donâ€t have to be that annoying friend on the forum whoâ€s spamming you with her personal life!!  LOL

Construction Update:  My planners found out construction will be happening beside Sunset Cove (she has yet to confirm dates BangHead.gif )  but if you look at the map, you can see that its POSSIBLY not a big deal.

Shaecollins:  What DJ did you hire and how much are you spending when you include that $300 vendor fee ?  Anyone know anything about the resort's referral DJ --- Damane Scott, from Irie Jamz ?  Help !~!
