Here's our frames for our vintage travel themed wedding with places in the world that have a special meaning to us. Click on the link below for details on how I put them together and where everything is from!

Mrs HK, I love yours!

We are having a small wedding (14 including us). We are not having a seating chart, but are putting a sand dollar at each place with that person's name on it.

I wanted to have one long table, but that was not available, so we are having three tables, very small. Whatever; we will have lots of room for food that way!

At our AHR, we have table numbers that are a photograph of a number written in the sand, with that number typed on it in Spanish. There will not be assigned seating. We will have a seating chart at the entrance, though. I am thinking chalkboard, since I love that look and am a teacher and that may be one way to incorporate that. Not sure yet though; I may also use a vintage map (they were used extensively throughout my shower and already appear in some decor) and pin luggage tags to it with tables. We will see.

My FI and I have done a lot of travelling together, so we've decided to name our tables after places we have been instead of using numbers. We will have a photo of us on each table taken in that country. Then we will have a vintage style world map for our seating plan with a list of the names of people sitting in each country. Hope that helps. :)
Love this idea! We love to travel too, totally stealing this idea.

I plan to incorporate the table #s into a beverage.  Here are some pictures that I have snagged off this forum, and other websites. LL LL

I thought I'd include a photo of our what our table assignment frame and table frames looked like on the tables at our wedding.

The table assignment display frame was handmade and I purchased it from another bride. I printed out everyone's names, tea stained the paper and glued them to paper bags that I had trimmed with craft scissors. We had it set up on our guestbook table next to a globe and a birdcage for our cards.

For the table frames, we used names of places that we have travelled to together and had significant meaning to us. The frames are from the dollar store, the hangtags (which i soaked in tea) are from Staples, and the background is wrapping paper I ordered from Paper Source. I did the lettering on the tags myself!
